Wo ist der schönste Ausblick der Welt?

SUITE VIEW ist der gemalte Blick durch das Fenster einer Hotelsuite, festgehalten auf Leinwand. Ein Kunstprojekt geht auf Tour durch die Länder dieser Erde.

Meine Vision entsteht mitten auf dem Meer, während der künstlerischen Arbeit auf einem der größten Containerschiffe der Welt. Hier, wo die Wellen unter mir brechen und sternenklare Nächte zur puren Inspiration werden. Hier an Deck, mitten auf dem Wasser, stelle ich mir immer wieder diese eine Frage, der ich fortan nicht mehr entkommen kann: „Gibt es außerhalb des Meeres einen Blick in unendliche Weiten, der mich ergreift? Wie weit ist Weite einzufangen und von wo aus lässt sie sich begreifen?

Aus mir, der Fragenden wird eine Suchende, wird eine Reisende, Entdeckende und Staunende. Ich finde meine Antworten in jenem Augenblick, als ich die Spitze eines Hotels, die Suite im höchsten Stockwerk betrete und den Blick in die Weite einfange und auf Leinwand widergebe. Hier oben, dem Himmel so nah, versunken und eingetaucht in die Schönheit der Kulisse, des mir fremden Ortes, für ein Bündnis auf Zeit. Ich komme als Bleibende für 48 Stunden. Berauscht, beseelt, fasziniert und voller Neugier entsteht von nun an jedes meiner Werke. Erst getrieben, dann treibend. Schon immer werde ich gern überrascht, dieses Mal überrasche ich sogar mich selbst, denn ich weiß nicht, was mich erwartet, kenne weder mein Zimmer noch dessen Aussicht. Ich lasse mich ein, auf Orient und Okzident, auf Norden und Süden. Die Weltkugel ist groß.

Den Duft der Fremde atmend, mische ich das Aroma, das ich einfange unter meine Farben, tauche meine Finger darin ein – 10 Finger als Werkzeug, mehr Persönliches brauche ich nicht. In der anonymen Atmosphäre der Suiten wird mir immer deutlicher, wie sehr das Haben verblasst, wenn das Sein so erfüllt ist. Auf meinen Reisen gewinnt der Begriff „Reichtum“ an neuer Bedeutung. Nichts kann mir fehlen, denn ich habe alles, was mir so wichtig ist: Meinen Ausblick. Von nun an ist alles Berührung. Ich finde Farben, die es nicht in Tuben gibt, mische meine Wirklichkeit zurecht, und gebe mich hin, tauche ein, wieder auf und fange die Momente mit all ihren Sinnen ein. Mit pochendem Herzen entdecke ich Details, die sich flüchtigen Blicken verschließen.

Ich male das, was ich sehe und was ich fühle. Ob die Magie einer funkelnden Skyline, deren Wolkenkratzer sich in die Höhe schrauben, oder endloses Lichtermeer bei Nacht.Bei meiner Reise, verwandelt sich die Suite in ein Atelier. Unendlich ist das, was ich sehe und ist das, was ich erreichen will: Nähe wie auch Ferne spüren, Grenzen berühren, testen, Neue finden, höher stecken, brechen. Raus in die Welt, die erhellt und verdunkelt, wie die Gezeiten des Lebens. Jedes Mal, wenn ich eine neue Suite betrete, in die neue Umgebung mit allen Sinnen eintauche, bin ich Eins, bin ich zuhause. Und so gewinnt selbst meine Heimatstadt nach jeder Rückkehr wieder an Bedeutung.

In meiner Heimat Hamburg beginnend, am Hafen mit Blick auf das Tor zur Welt schließt sich nach der langen Reise durch alle Kontinente der Kreis. Eine Rückkehr mit großformatigen Ölbildern. Gesichter wie Mosaiksteine eines großen Ganzen, der Welt, dem Spektrum voller Kontraste. Mein Resümee über das Entstehen eines perfekten Bildes ist: „Ich werde berührt, von dem was ich sehe, ich berühre mit meinen Händen die Farben und Leinwand und am Ende berührt das Bild den Betrachter. “ Und so vereinen sich 50 Werke meiner Reise in der Komposition eines ganzen Orchesters an Eindrücken und Wahrnehmungen und erinnern an jeden einzigartigen Ausblick auf die Welt durch das Fenster einer Hotelsuite.
